Driver Terms

Last updated: 6 June 2026 · Applies to Fletcha Eats, operating in South Africa.

These terms apply when you are registered as a Fletcha Eats driver. They are additional to the main Terms & Conditions. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees of Fletcha Eats.

1. Driver responsibilities

  • Hold a valid South African ID and, where required, a valid driver's licence and roadworthy vehicle.
  • Submit clear, genuine verification documents and update them when they expire.
  • Provide accurate banking details for payouts.
  • Only go online when sober, well-rested and safe to operate your vehicle.
  • Obey all road traffic laws.
  • Treat customers, business staff and the public with respect.

2. Accepting deliveries

  • You see available deliveries in the "Available Deliveries" section when you are online.
  • Tapping "Accept Delivery" commits you to collect and deliver that order.
  • You may decline an order; repeated unjustified declines may lower your dispatch priority.

3. One active delivery at a time

This is a strict, server-enforced rule. While you have any delivery in the following states: assigned, en route to pickup, picked up, or out for delivery, you cannot accept another order. The system will block the attempt and show: "Complete your current delivery before accepting another order."

This rule applies across every device, browser and session you sign in from.

4. Pickup process

  1. Open navigation to the business's GPS location.
  2. Greet the business, show the order reference and your driver ID.
  3. Confirm the items are correct and tap Order Picked Up.
  4. The business and customer are notified in real time.

5. Delivery completion

  1. Navigate to the customer's GPS pin.
  2. Hand the order to the customer in person.
  3. Ask for their delivery code and enter it in the app.
  4. Tap Delivered only when you are at the drop-off and the customer has received the order. Marking delivered while away from the drop-off, or without the code, will be rejected.

6. Earnings

  • You earn the delivery fee for each completed delivery, less the platform commission (shown in your earnings screen).
  • Earnings are visible in real time on the Earnings tab.
  • Tips paid to you in cash are yours to keep.

7. Payouts

  • Payouts are made to the bank account you registered.
  • Standard payout cycle and minimum payout amount are shown on your Payouts page.
  • Payouts may be paused while an investigation is open against your account.

8. Customer interactions

  • Use only the in-app chat or the masked call (where available) — do not save customer numbers for off-platform contact.
  • Never demand a tip. Never ask the customer to deal with you off-app.
  • If a customer is abusive, end the interaction politely and report it via Support.

9. Fraud prevention

Activities that will end your account immediately:

  • Faking GPS or marking an order delivered when you are not at the customer's location.
  • Marking an order delivered without the customer's delivery code.
  • Stealing or tampering with goods in transit.
  • Colluding with customers to defraud businesses (e.g. fake refund claims).
  • Using more than one account.

10. Account suspension

We may suspend or terminate your driver account if you:

  • Break any of the rules above.
  • Receive repeated valid complaints.
  • Fail to maintain valid documents.
  • Are reported for a road incident while on a delivery.

You may appeal via Support. We respond within 7 days.
